Pregnancy is a wonderful time and your body will undergo a huge amount of change. This change can create pregnancy related aches and pains as well as bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction. I want to make this special time in your life as easy and pain free as possible.

  • Caesarean scar discomfort/pain

  • Separation of the abdominal muscles (rectus diastisis)

  • Bladder and bowel incontinence

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Discomfort/pain from your episiotomy or tear

  • Optimising recovery following third and fourth degree tears

What to expect from your Physiomum consultation

  • Detailed history taking

  • Explanation regarding assessment procedure

  • Postural and movement assessment

  • Pelvic exam (external and possibly internal)

 

Follow-up consultations can vary between 1-2 times per week or 1-2 times per month, depending on the circumstances. This will be discussed with you on your first visit and may be adjusted in subsequent visits.
